We went to Macy's and saw why the brand might be headed the way of Sears

Article from Business Insider. Crumpling form within just like all of Americas corporation. Time to fix from within first. If they do this, not just Macy's but all businesses will become stronger. Stock buybacks are an instrument of last resort and can not think of anything else plus only effects shareholders. Companies are better off paying off debt than stock buy backs because that is what will get companies in the long run. Invest in stores and bring them up to date, invest in employees or have better products with better materials. Believe in the company and things will follow. Treat people with respect and human beings not some number in a company.

Violence with violence is not the answer and you become the entity, that you are protesting. Endless cycle that needs to stop. Martin Luther King protested without violence and good things happened. If we have to cut your cable or turn off the news. Think for yourself and not have someone else think for you.

Macy Employees

Macy employees have to wear mostly black with nothing on the front as far as sports teams or schools. What I don't get is Macys supports so many organizations, schools or business themselves but an employee can not support a local school. This policy needs to be changed and updated for the current times. Employees should either be allowed to support local schools or tell Macy's what organizations, schools or business it does business with. They are forgetting business and customers love when Macy employees support a local school. Makes for a good connection and helps create Macy magic. This may not seem like a big deal but it is. I will not back down and all support is welcome.

Recycle Plastic

This world needs to recycle more as a whole. To much plastic and garbage piling up and a waste if we don't reuse it. We use plastic products every day, which include beverages and food containers, trash bags and grocery bags, plastic cups and utensils, children's toys and diapers, and bottles for mouthwash and hair products. Plastic is even into furniture, appliances, computers and automobiles. Americans consumed 28.3 gallons of bottled water in 2006, up from 1.6 gallons in 1976. United States is the worlds leader in bottle water consumed at 28 billion annually. Roughly 75 to 80 percent of the bottles ends up in landfills. Recycling plastic conserves energy, natural resources and pollution. Well run recycling program cost less to operate than waste collection, landfilling and incineration. Also, with more people recycling the cheaper it gets. Recycling creates 1.1 million jobs, $236 billion in gross annual sales and $37 billion in annual payrolls. For every job collecting recyclables, there are 26 jobs in processing the materials and manufacturing them into new products. A national recycling rate of 30% reduces greenhouse gas emissions as much as removing nearly 25 million cars from the road. Brutal wars over natural resources, including timber and minerals, have killed or displaced more than 20 million people and are raising at least $12 billion a year for rebels, warlords, and repressive governments. Recycling eases the demand for the resources. Recycling prevents habitat destruction, loss of biodiversity, and soil erosion associated with logging and mining. Macy's and Ford are 2 companies that recycle materials. Start recycling to save the environment and to do a good deed. One tree, animal and humans at a time to save life on earth for all.

Ford Motor Company

Ford has built a reliable car, dependable and never missing a step in safety for the driver or occupants in the car. With keeping in mind the car can take some impact without damage, but keep in mind speed will play a factor at some point to cause real damage. It would be hard to venture out to a new brand. My Ford car as been through it all and still going strong. Over 100,000 miles and still counting. Built Ford Tough. When I think of Ford, its innovating. Ford is a patriot to America and its what America is all about. Sheer force, manufacturing brute all while conquering the world in the Auto Industry. What car can go farther, my money is on a Ford car, truck or SUV. Don't forget about the Lincoln brand as well. Growing and gaining momentum. Building cars that look great.

Accountability

Accountability needs to be addressed immediately. All lives matter no matter who you are or race. Starts by respecting your elders, authority and your parents among other things. Greater help is if parents parent instead of always being there friend and disciplining them so they know right from wrong. Need to be held accountable for what you do and learn from mistakes or failure and grow from them. US government needs to listen to its people for once to gain control of our great country and the same thing for other countries. Work hard and good things will come to you. Give kids responsibility wether it be cleaning the house, cutting the grass or even taking care of a household pet. If your in a power of position, don't thin you can abuse power and get away with it for a long period of time. It will always come back to bite you and you should hold yourself to the highest standard and make sure you follow the law to show your a good role model. Macy's

The Board of directors needs to look at hiring new upper management including CEO. When it takes them four years to make a decision its time to go. In the new business environment, you need to be able to adapt quickly not slowly. The company will continue to be lackluster until change is met. Have to scale back, get rid of coupons or make them easier to use. Customers shopping experience is getting complicated which in turn will turn away shoppers. Have to keep things simple and basic. Also Macys does not care about employees and how they get treated, this needs to change fast. Quit thinking of them as a number and think of them as humans. Lastly they need to invest in the company and not by stock buybacks, which can be: stores, buildings, equipment, training or better products with fair prices. Backstage needs to be a separate store to battle TJ Maxx and can use in smaller locations or outlet malls. Get rid of penny and ship those items to Backstage as well so we do not give another company a chance to purchase inventory at a cheap discount which will help combat new or improving businesses. Macy's lost 30,000 customers in two weeks when they got rid of Trump merchandise. Now how many of those customers will never shop again or how many of them will come back after it happened. 30,000 customer is a big chunk to lose. Sales associates should dress business professional to help make the customer experience better and it sells designer brand clothing, which will give it a special meaning walking into a Macy's store.
